About

Modern essentials,made to bekept.

We make outerwear and everyday pieces in Lagos — cut clean, made properly, and built to be worn for years rather than seasons.

Our story

A wardrobe, not a season.

We started with one coat and a stubborn idea: that a good piece should outlive the trend that sold it.

IG Divine began in a small studio in Lagos, in 2021, with a single pattern for a wool overcoat. We had spent years watching friends buy pieces that looked right for one season and felt wrong by the next. We wanted to make the opposite: a wardrobe that earns its keep.

The first collection was four pieces. A coat. A gilet. A pair of trousers. A shirt. We made small runs, tested them in Lagos traffic and Lagos rain, and rewrote the patterns until they behaved.

The studio, Lekki Phase 1

Today we design a fuller range, but the brief has not changed. Fewer pieces, made properly, cut for the long run. We still sample every garment on real people in real weather before it goes into production.

We are not the loudest brand in the room. We would rather be the one still in your wardrobe in five years.

From cloth to coat

Craft

01

Design

We sketch less than we sample. Every piece starts as a question: what does this replace in the wardrobe?

  • Twelve prototypes per piece
  • Real-weather testing
02

Cloth

We work with mills that share our standard for handle, weight and traceability. Wool, cotton, linen, cupro, and leather.

  • Natural fibres first
  • Traceable to the mill
03

Cut and make

Cuts are done on the bias where it matters. Seams are finished so they last. Small runs, reviewed piece by piece.

  • Cut in small runs
  • Hand-finished details
04

Finish and check

Every piece is pressed, measured and checked by hand before it is folded. If it does not pass, it does not ship.

  • Checked twice
  • Folded by hand
